At a mobilization breakfast
last Sunday, 75 leaders of Cong.
Beth Abraham endorsed the ex-
ecutive committee's plans to
raise $350,000 for the erection of
a new synagogue on W. Seven
Mile Rd.,' at Greenlawn.
The building campaign was
outlined by Judge Nathan J.
Kaufman, chairman, and Dr.
Harry Newman, acting chair-
man. Cash contributions from
the synagogue's affiliate organ-
izations indicated that the drive
for funds was off to a good
start.
Following distribution of pros:
pect cards, Dr. Newman called
on workers to produce maximum
results for the first report meet-
ing of solicitors at 8:30 p.m., on
Monday, at the synagogue.
Benjamin Siegel, chairman of
ground-breaking arrangements,
named July 11 as the day when
appropriate ceremonies getting
the building underway will take
place. Siegel is assisted in these
plans by Julius Perry, chairman
of the functions and •' arrange-
ments' committee. _
Louis Ellenbogen, congrega-
tional president, urged workers
to enroll a limited number of
new members, which the new
building will be_ able to accom-
modate.
