A sweet sixteen luncheon . was recently tendered Micki Feld-
man, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Feldman, of Santa Barbara
Dr., at Larco's. Among those attending were Lynne Markle, Cookie
Lerman, Jackie Shapira, Vicky Weisburger, Mitzi Rachleff, Gloria
Manela, Sandra Chernick, Arlene Goldfarb, Eileen Gilman, Bar-
bara Wilner, Paula Schiff, Alicia Margolis,. Avon Horowitz, Faye
Steingold, Phyllis Berman, Rachel Wenner, Sandra Komisar, Joyce

Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Buchsbaum, of Cincinnati, 0., are current-
ly in Detroit to attend the confirmation of their niece, Barbara
Ann Manheim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Manheim, of
17590 Stoepel.
Julius Chaj es, director of music at the Jewish Center, will
present Susan King, Marilyn Lucas, Rita Slepian and Joanne
Spencer in a piano recital, Sunday, 1 p.m., at the Davison. Center.
Frances Cooperman, soprano, a pupil of Marguerite Kozenn Cha-
jes, accompanied by Dorian Hyshka, will participate in the pro-
gram. Admission is free.
Mrs. Mollie Isbee represented the Beth Yehudah parents at
the annual convention of the National Association of Hebrew Day
School PTAs over Decoration Week-end in Washington. She will
report on the convention at the PTA meeting here Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Friedlander recently honored their
daughter, Margaret Ann, at •a- sweet sixteen luncheon at the Sher-
aton Cadillac.
Raymond K. Feldman, son of Ben Feldman, formerly of De-
troit, was graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathy
and Surgery, Kirksville, Mo., May 29. Dr. Feldman will intern at
Zieger Osteopathic Hospital in Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Feldman, of Santa Barbara Dr., are spend-
ing a few weeks in Los Angeles, Calif. where they are visiting Mr.
and Mrs. Phil Kay, Mr. and Mrs. David Susser and Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Figoten, all former Detroiters.
Prior to her forthcoming marriage on - June 27 to Myron H.
Joyrich, Miss Ida Zyskind was entertained at a miscellaneous
shower, given by her aunt, Mrs. S. Joyrich, at Zack's; and at a
personal shower given by Mrs. J. Kalet.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lifshitz, of 3321 Cortland, will this week-
end be hosts to Rabbi Avigdor Cyperstein, of New York, dean of
advanced Talmudic studies at Yeshiva University and head of the
American Committee for Mifal Hatorah.

their daughter, Toby Lynn, at a sweet sixteen luncheon, at the

Planning Spring Dance

Chapter II, the young adult
group of Sholem Aleichem In-
stitute, announces that Mrs.
Ettie Raphael will be chairman
of its third annual Spring
Dance, to be held Saturday, at
the Institute, 18495 Wyoming.
The dance, Mrs. Raphael
states, will be the climax to a
complete season of activities,
which included
study groups in
English on Jew-
ish philosophy
and literature,
drama group,
Yiddish lan-
guage study
classes, a series
of lectures and
open meetings
Mrs. Raphael on contributions
to Jewish education.
Assisting Mrs. Raphael in
planning the dance will be Mes-
dames Lillian Gold, Tillie Beck-
erman, Pearl Zeltzer, Sylvia
Heideman and Irene Panush.
Mrs. Sylvia Chover will decor-
ate the Institute to provide a
cabana-style atmosphere.
Sam Barnett and his orches-
tra will play music for dancing,
and entertainment will be, pro-
vided by the Balladeers, a group
of folk singers and dancers. A
souvenir booklet will be distrib-
uted among those attending.

Mike Zeltzer, assisted by Paul
Gold, Maurice Beckerman and
H. Kempner.

bow Terrace, Anne Epstein and
Paul Epstein were joined in
matrimony. Officiating w e r e

tor Hyman Adler.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Morris Epstein; of 3826 W.
Grand, wore a fitted gown, with
bodice of chantilly lace and a
satin and tulle skirt and flow-
ing train. Her fingertip veil was
held by a cap of seed pearls and
irridescent beads And she car-
ried a white Bible topped with a
white orchid.
Shirley Balles was maid of
honor and Mrs. George Rich,
sister of the bride, was matron
of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs,
Morrie Weiner, Mrs. Bernie Blei-
er, Gloria Burrow and Marsha
Epstein, niece of the bridegroom.
