Our Slip Is Showing
In the caption under last
week's picture of Rabbi Morris
Adler presenting awards of merit
to foster parents with over 15
years service to the Jewish So-
cial Service Bureau, we erron-
eously listed Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Harris as being pictured.
The correct identification is Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Allen. The
Harrises did receive f o s ter
parent awards, however, they
were not in the photograph.

100 Teachers Licensed
To Teach in Day Schools
NEW YORK, (JTA)—More
than 100 Yeshiva teachers re-
ceived their teacher's license at
a ceremony at Torah Umesorah
headquarters, thus becoming eli-
gible to teach in Orthodox Day
Schools throughout the country.
The requirements for these
Yeshiva licenses were set during
the past year by a Principals'
Commission comprised of prin-
cipals of leading Jewish Ortho-
dox day schools throughout the
United States.
The need for special licensing
for the intensive educational
program of day schools has long
been felt by Day School admin-
istrators and was given impetus
by the unceasing requests of
local federations and bureaus of
education for the licensing of
Yeshiva personnel.
