JERUSALEM, (JTA) — Israel
protested to the Israel-Jordan
Mixed Armistice Commission
against an Arab attempt to at-
tack Ramat Rachel, a southern
Jerusalem suburb. This was the
second incident in two days.
Settlement guards drove off
the Arab infiltrators before they
could do any damage. Later,
Israeli officers with bloodhounds,
and accompanied by UN observ-
ers, tracked the infiltrators to
the demarcation line with Jor-
dan.
In the earlier attack, a gang
of armed Arabs fired with au-
tomatic weapons on an Israeli
patrol near Bet Govrin, but in-
flicted no casualties. This inci-
dent occurred on the heels of
the patrols driving off a band
of Arabs who had crossed into
Israel territory and had attempt-
ed to plough land inside Israel.

prepared in this manner are baked beans. Of course, even when
time is not at a premium, using Heinz canned baked beans the
kind that are really oven-baked and steeped in a rich, red tomato
sauce is convenient. Look for the can with the U of the Union of
