Prior to her wedding, Miss Toby Wolin, of Flint, Mich., was
entertained at a bruncheon given by Miss Audrey Borden in her
home on Griggs Ave. Attending were Rita Richman, Barbara
Wolin, Mrs. A. Wolin, of Flint, Mrs. Dorothy Katz, Mrs. Sally
Perlis, Mrs. Delores Friedman, Mrs. Norman Goldman, Sally Curtis,
Stella Allen and Mrs. Dorothy Borden.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Baket recently entertained out-of-town
guests who were in. Detroit to attend the wedding of their daugh-
ter, Anita, to Maurice Rosen. Included were Mrs. Jean Gordon,
Miss Lena Bachman, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Botchman and Mr. Nat
Parker, of New York; Mrs. William Walner, of Chicago; Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Schachter, of Cleveland Heights; Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Maltzman, of Indianapolis; and the Misses Elaine and Inez Greene,
of Los Angeles.
Robert W. Smilay, Whitmore Road, who is stationed at Medical
Center, Camp Pickett, Va., was called home on emergency leave
on account of the sudden illness of his father, Maurice D. Smilay.
Mitzi Rachleff had as her house guest Joyce Alexander of
Chicago, Ill. A surprise reunion was given in her honor on Nov.
25. All the guests vacationed at Fidelman's at South Haven last
summer.
Mrs. Marion Yamshon, soprano and piano teacher, will pre-
sent a musical program on Saturday • afternoon, in her home, at
15835 Ward. One of her students, Natalie Bard, will accompany
her at the piano and render several selections. Charlotte Yamshon
will offer her first .violin solo, accompanied by her mother at the
piano. Dan Yamshon will present a cornet selection, and Ray
Yamshon will perform magic tricks. Concluding the program,
Helen Marx Rochelle and Charlotte Yamshon will lead in choral
group singing.

Mitzvah of their son, Raymond Joseph, Sunday. Out of town

passed her 85th birthday.

and which included $50 of her
own, to Dr. A. M. Hershman,
honorary president of the
League for Religious Labor in
Israel.

The objectionable cartoon was
part of the "Little King" series
and offensively depicted Jewish
characters.
WXYZ has expressed its •re-
gret that this cartoon was used.
It has withdrawn the film from
