The annual "Old World Mar-
ket," a four-day international
bazaar sponsored by the Inter-
national Institute will include
Israel representation for the
first time since its inception.
Israel Enterprises, largest im-
porter of Israeli products in the
Midwestt, will manage the Is-
rael booth. Many new products,
to be shown for the first time in
Detroit, will be on sale starting
at 1 p.m. Thursday.
The Israel department. will be
lined up alongside those of 31
other nations.
The Israel Gift Shop, at 11820
Dexter Blvd., will be literally
moved into the International In-
stitute, 111 E. Kirby, for this
event. For many visitors, this
will be their first look at prod-
ucts turned out in modern Is-
rael. In additiOn to the tradi-
tional patina-ware, there will be
merchandise in silverplate, ox-
idized silver, pewter-wash, cop-
per, olive wood, hand-painted
pottery, hand-painted ceramics,
hand-made character dolls, pol-
ished bronze and brass, men's
and ladies' 100% wool sweaters,
men's pigskin gloves, ladies' doe-
skin and goatskin gloves.

Detroit who wish to volunteer
their assistance in staffing the
booth should contact Jules Done-

prises, 11820 Dexter.

All Detroit Pioneer Women are
at work helping raise $70,000
which is the Detroit Council's
share of the $1,250,000 quota
which the national convention
meeting in Washington, D. C.,
assumed.
Some of the money will be
used to complete a school build-
ing located in Kanot, a youth
village and agricultural training
center on the road to the Negev.
The East Central Region under-
took this as an additional proj-
ect.
The culminating affair of this
drive will feature the Lind
Brothers, TV and radio artists,
and Dr. Judd L. Teller, news an-
alyst and foreign correspondent,
and will be held at 8:30 p.m.,
Dec. 13, at Masonic Temple. All
contributors are invited.
