Fashion Show Workers to Report
On Progress of Israel Bond Sales
With the Detroit Bond Wom-
en's Fashion Revue slated for
Oct. 6, a mid-way report meeting
for all workers on the affair will
be held at Young Israel Center,
Dexter at Fullerton, Sept. 14,
10:30 a.m., it was announced by
Fashion Show Chairmen Mrs.
Milton Mahler and Mrs. Bernard
Osnos.
Hugh McDonald, economist
and Haganah fighter who re-

second annual luncheon meeting
at Knollwood Country Club, will
report on Israel's present econ-
omic picture.

BUENOS AIRES, (JTA)—Over
15,000 Jewish DPs in Europe are
registered for emigration with
the Joint Distribution Commit-
tee, Louis Horowitz, director of
JDC's European emigration
service, told a press conference
here.
Horowitz estimated that 10,000
DPs will be eligible to enter the
United States in the next three
years under President Eisen-
hower's emergency immigration
program.
Of the remaining 5,000, Horo-
witz stated that some would go
to Canada, others to Australia
and the remainder to South
American countries. He revealed
that Chili will accept 1,500, and
Uruguay may take 100 families.
Permission to send DPs to Ar-
gentina is now being negotiated.
