James Melton Featured
At the Elmwood Casino
James Melton, America's fav-
orite tenor and star of TVs Ford
Festival, opened Thursday night
at the Elmwood Casino. A star
of opera, radio, screen, recording
and television for many years,
Melton entered the field of night
club entertainment only this
spring, and has had such success
that he's completely won over
to this latest phase of enter-
tainment.
Melton will appear at the Elm-
wood through Aug. 15, except
for Sunday, Aug. 9, and Monday,
Aug. 10. The Elmwood is closed
Aug. 10 because of Windsor elec-
tions. Backing the tenor on the
Elmwood revue are Milt Ross,
engaging young comic; Heller
and Helene, dance artists; vocal-
ist Bernie Miller and eight Miri-
am Sage Dancers. Music for the
show and dancing is supplied by
Jack Madden's Ambassadors.
