Silverman JWV. Groups to Cite Two Leaders
Patrolman Harry • Hayden and
Henry J. Maicki, Detroit phar-
macist, will be honored at the
joint, installation event of the
Sgt. Morton A. Silverman Post
and Auxiliary at 8:30 pm., Sun-
day, at the JWV Memorial
Home.

Erman Management
Beautiful Clover Lodge, in
Omena Michigan, has long been
the
favorite with people w h o
want
to relax completely. Form-
erly known under the name of
Lesser's Clover Lodge, it is now
under the ownership of Mrs.
Joseph Erman. All cottages have
been completely redecorated and

serve the public on June 27th at

1200 foot private beach. Three
experienced counselors have
been added to the fine staff,
and a complete recreational pro-
gram for adults and children

- Patrolman Hayden is being
cited by the Post for his Work
in carrying on activities of the
late Louis Stone, whose block
parties and picnics for Detroit's
children won him wide recogni-
tion. Maicki will be honored by
the Auxiliary for his constant
cooperation with the hospital
parties and for his frequent
visits to veteran hospitals.
The following officers will be
installed by the Post: command-
er, Lawrence Gubow; vice-com-
manders, Jacob Schwartz and
Edward Sparage; quartermaster,
Bernard Koss; judge advocate,
Frank Selman; trustees, Danny
Kahn,,., Leo Nelson, Fred Lax,
Vernon Palmer.
Auxiliary officers are: presi-
dent, Gertrude Lax; vice-presi-
d e n t s, Shirley Robinson and
Irene Soffin; - treasurer; Blanche
Y e n o f s k y; secretaries Betty
Kahn and Marsha Graham;
chaplain, Dolly Alper; patriotic
conductress, Julie Singer; chief-
of-staff, Estelle Goss.
The installation will be con-
ducted by Bernard Hoffman,
commander of . the Department
of Michigan JWV and M r s.
Philip Bernstein, president of
the Department's Ladies Aux-
iliary.

followed by an oneg shabbat in
the synagogue's social hall.
Rabbi Morris Adler will deliver
the commencement address. Oth-

mony, in _addition to the stu-
dents, will be Dr. Leonard SW-
low, congregation president, and
Daniel Cullen and Hyman Saf-
ran, co-chairmen of the educa-
tion committee.
