A confirmation pageant, com-
posed by Rabbi Leon Fram espe-
cially for this year's confir-
mands, will be presented at tra-

7:30 p. m., Tuesday, in the
temple.
The pageant, "The Worship of
God," will honor members of
the class as founders of sab-
bath morning services at Tem-
ple Israel. Throughout the
school season members have
conducted, for youth and adults,
the Saturday services.
The- Temple Israel choir, di-
rected by Karl Haas, and Can-
tor Robert Tillman will sing a
group of newly-composed syna-
gogue in u s i c, featuring the
works of H elf m a n, Freed,
Schwarz and Binder. ,
The confirmation bleSsing will
be bestowed' by Rabbi Fram on
58 young men and women, who
will then be blessed by their
parents. Girls of the class will
conduct a floral procession, dec-
orating the entire temple.

Firsi Revision of Bible
JERUSALEM, (JTA)—The He-
brew University recently an-. -
nounced publication of the first
revision of the Hebrew text of
the Bible by a Jewish scholar in
Jerusalem. The project was con-
ceived by the late Judah L.'
Ma.gnes, then president of the
University, and was carried out
by prof. Umberto Cassuto Who
died in 1951.

Annual Dinner-Dance
Beth Aaron's third annual
dinner-dance, to be held Sun-
day evening; at the Latin Quar-
ter, will feature as guest celeb-
rity Henny Youngman, noted
star of stage, radio and tele-
vision.
New officers, headed by Harry
Green, recently re-elected to
serve as congregational presi-
dent, will be installed. Music for
the dinner and dancing will be
furnished by Phil Brestoff and
his orchestra.

Suburban Temple Plans Israel Young Marrieds

Suburban Temple will confirm
seven young men and women
at its first confirmation exer-
cises at 8:15 p.m., May 22, in the
Royal Oak High School. A spe
cial ritual, written by the con-
firmands, will mark the occa-
sion.
Dr. Frank F. Rosenthal, rabbi,
will deliver the blessing; Walter
Schmier, president, will present
special recognitions and awards;
and Myron Unger, instructor,
will distribute confirmation. cer-
tificates. The temple choir, di-
rected by Mrs. Eilgene
will provide a musical interlude.
A reception will be given by
parents of the confirmands fol-
lowing the. service.

"Going to the Zoo" is the
theme of a children's party
planned by the Young Marrieds
Group of Temple Israel at 2:30
p.m., Sunday, in the temple
youth hall.
