Lueth Returns from Israel
With Enthusiastic Report
MUNICH, (JTA)-Erich Lueth,
initiator of the "Peace with Is-
rael" movement in Germany, re-.
turned here from a 17-day tour
of Israel. He was enthusiastic
about the accomplishments of
the Jewish state and impressed
with the might of Israel's; army.
The trip was made at Lueth's
own expense.
While in Israel, it was learned,
he travelled incognito at the in-
sistence of Israel authorities
who feared his being attacked
by extremists if it became
known he was a German.
Erich "Hamburger," as Lueth
was known, travelled 2,300 miles
through major cities and kib-
butzim, under the constant sur-
veillance of the Israel Secret
Ser vice,
MAX RUDENSKY
New York, who also was well
known as a lecturer and writer,
died last Sunday while en route
to address a JNF meeting in El-
lenVille, N. Y.
Mr. Rudensky was well known
in Detroit, having addressed
numerous JNF rallies here la
recent years.
His death was mourned this
week in statements issued by
national and local JNF leaders.

Levy, who was a Commodore in
the U. S. Navy, and he published
a novel, "The End of the Raw--
hide," based on Commodore
Levy's life.
