Jason Tickton's 20th Year at Beth El
Recalls Memorable. Day of Pesach
The seventh day of Passover
holds special significance for
Jason H, Tickton, the • music di-
rector of Temple Beth El.
It was on that day in 1933
that Tickton, then only 19, re-
ceived a frantic call from his
organ teacher, Abram Ray Ty-
ler. "Jason, you are my best pu-
pil—you are my only pupil. I
am very sick, and you .must play
the service for me."
This. Passover season Tick-
toil celebrated his 20th year

Terrace Room Topics
Preparations for the June weddings are in full swing; and most of
our customers are busy making plans; printing invitations, planning
menus with us, engaging florists, photographers, buying gowns and
generally. hustling all over town. Two of our good friends, Mrs. Mor-
ris Sukenic, and Mrs. Nathan Sosin came hurrying into the Bel Aire
Terrace Room to make plans for a shower to be held within the next
few weeks; this is the third affair we have for these busy ladies pre-
ceding the month of June. (If Mr. Sukenic and Mr. Sosin find that
they are bachelors for the next six weeks because their wives are - -
caught in the whirl of social events that precedes the "Month of
Brides"; we advise them to throw away that can Of sardines and
come to the Bel Aire as our guests.)
In addition to our beautiful Bel Aire Terrace Room, we cater ex-
clusively in the Exotic Flamingo Room of the New Hotel Detroiter. It
is not too late to be a Bel Aire Bride. See you in the Bel Aire Terrace
Room or at the Flamingo Room.
