Message From March of Dimes

May this public service to the
people of Wayne County be re-
flected in the continued suc-
cessful operation of your valu-
able publication.
The officers and members of
the Board of Trustees of the
Wayne County Chapter of the
National Foundation for Infan-
tile Paralysis, who have the pri-
vilege and responsibility of ad-

Goliancz's 'Timothy'
Editor, The Jewish News:
Not having read Victor Gol-
lancz's "My Dear Timothy," but
only the few excerpts which you
quote in your Feb. 20 issue, I am
forced to the conclusion that
G-ollancz accepted the Christian
Code Ethicus, either unknow-
ingly or perhaps conveniently
forgetting that it fundamentally
springs from Jewish sources, as
one may readily ascertain by
perusing Ethics of the Fathers,
Pirkey Aboth.
Why such a book should be
regarded as a "best seller" is
regrettable. • Your few quota-
tions confirm my belief that
Heine was more honest and out-
spoken about apostacy than
apologetic "half apostate" Gol-
lancz.
