Austria that if it opens nego-
tiations with major world Jew-

of reparations for Nazi damages

V, pound cottage. cheese
3 eggs
1 /2 cup sour cream
cup flour
Salt and sugar to taste
pinch of baking powder
Mash cheese and sour cream together.
Add beaten eggs. salt and sugar. then
add flour and baking powder. If batter
is not loose, add more liquid.

DREIDEL COOKIES
2 cups sifted, enriched flour
1 ,42 tsp. salt-
, S2 cup all-purpose shortening
oz. cream.- cheese.

1 tsp. vanilla
Vi cup thick sour cream
1 sq. baking chocolate, melted.
Mix and sift flour and salt. Cream .
shortening and cream cheese. Beat in
sugar and vanilla. Add dry ingredients
alternately with sour cream. Beat until

2 dozen Dreidel cookies.

1/2 cup Rokeach shortening
Mix and sift flour, baking powder and
salt into bowl. Combine egg yolk, honey,
salad oil and milk, add to dry ingredi-
ents, and blend well, Beat egg white
until .stiff. but not dry. fold into batter.
Pare and core apples. Cut apples, across
width, into 1/2 inch thick slices. Soak
slices, until •eady to use, in water to
which juice and rind of 1 41emon has been
added. Heat shortening in heavy skillet.
Drain apttle slices, a few at a time. Dip
into batter. Fry batter-coated apple
slices in hot fat, over medium. heat,
. Manufacturers of
