SHLOIME BILLARD

of his ability to paint pictures,
which he did to satisfy the ego-
ism of his Nazi captors. When
the American Army approached
he was sent to Dachau, and was
rescued here by the Allied Arm-
ies.
Following the war, Shloime
Billard went to Italy where he
studied in art schools, and man-
aged to exhibit his paintings.
His works of the Ghetto and life
in concentration camps were all
sold.
In Uruguay, he again painted
portraits and became interested
in photography. Newspaper
clippings from Montevideo in-
dicate his success at both art
forms.
Now in Detroit, he has ex-

pressed a desire to continue
his portraitures of men,
women and children, while
also seeking employment as a
photographer.

Billard resides at 2717 Tuxedo,
TO. 5-2911, for organizations or
individuals who may desire his
services.
