The Wayne County officials
and employees Goodfellow Frolic
will be held on Dec. 12, at the
State Fair Coliseum. Judge Wil-
liam Cody, chairman, has ar-
ranged for talent from all of the
leading night clubs to take part
in a five-hour show. It will start
at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30
p.m. Admission is 25 cents. In
addition to the floor show, there
will be dancing with music pro-
vided by one of Detroit's out-
standing bands by courtesy of
the Detroit and Wayne County
Federation of Muscians. All
money will go to the Old News-
boys' Goodfellow Fund.

The Parent Teachers Organ-
ization of the Schaefer Branch,
United Hebrew Schools has
started a Hanukah sales table
at the school building at Shaef-
er and Seven Mile Rds.
Merchandise available includes
all supplies for the holiday, in-
cluding minorahs, candles, drei-
dels, gift wrapping paper and
many other articles. The table
is currently in operation, and
will continue through Thursday,
with the exception of Friday and
Saturday.
Besides being operated ak_a
community sertrice, funds raised
from the sale will be used to
benefit children attending the
Schaefer Branch.
The PTO is sponsoring a
Hanukah social on Tuesday eve-
ning, at the school, at which
games will be played and awards
given out. The sales table will
be open at this affair.

Mrs. Litsky wore a gown of
gold lace and gold satin, and a
gold tiara as a headpiece.- She
carried the , same Bible she had
at her wedding 50 years ago.
The couple's children and 15
grandchildren participated in
the ceremony.
The couple was given in mar-
riage by three of their children ;
the Simon Victors, Jack Finks
and Dr. and Mrs. A. D. Litsky.
Also helping them celebrate
were the Sidney Litskys and
Morry Silbermans, of Milwaukee,
Wisc. A dinner for 300 people
followed the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Litsky were mar-
ried in New York City in 1902,
and 'came to Detroit on their
honeymoon. They have resided
here ever since, presently living
at 3239 Pasadena.
Out-of-towners here for the
festivities included Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Miller, of N e w Haven,
Conn.; the Barney Goldbergs, of
Long Island, N.Y.; the Irving
Nissenbaums, of Brooklyn, N.Y.;
the D. Margolis and the S. Jor-
dons of Milwaukee, Wis.

Center for Torah study, the
Starksteins expressed a deep in-
terest in the work of the school,
now serving more than 600 De-
troit Jewish youths. Themselies

traditions of Polish Jewry, their
native land, the generous couple
see in the work of Yeshivath
Beth Yehudah a perpetuation
on the American scene of the
historic ideals and values of
Judaism.
With an annual budget of
$180,000, Beth Yehudah depends
for its operation upon a total
of $2,000 each week in various
forms of voluntary contribu-
tions. The remainder of the ex-
pense is met -by tuition fees and
a grant from the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation_
