Young Women's Bicur Cholem Organization recently spent a
day at the new Downtown USO where members made sandwiches
and served the armed forces. Mrs. Louis Harris, chairman, was
assisted by Mesdames George Brown, M. L. Kahldon, Charles Kahn,
A. Minowitz, William Frankford, Ben Leaman, Carl Braun, Mer-
vin Gardner, Louis Brown, Harry Schwartz, Esther Staller, Lor-
raine Gardner and Mrs. Rosenbloom. The group will meet next at
fhe home of Mrs. Sam Schwartz, 19346 Marlowe.
A special art committee will commence work on the Whitehall
building at the State Fair Grounds on May 2 to prepare a festive
air for the 2,000 workers of the Women's Division who will meet
there on G-Day Sunday, May 4. before starting out to solicit 16,006
prospects. Mrs. Marshall Miller is chairman of the art committee;
which includes Mesdames Sol Dann, Ben Shwayder, Alvin Geffen,
Herbert Keidan, Leonard Kasle, Leonard Fox, Abe Becker, John
Heavenrich, Larry Herman, J. Richard Cooper, Charles Garvett,
R. Solomon, Lawrence Weiss, Sam Barnett, Edward Quint, I.
Shwayder, William Zack, Charles Colman, Milton Zimmerman,
Albert Aston, Hanley Wolf, Henry Barak and Arthur Hessler.
Special art projects in connection with G-Day mailings and posters
were created by Mrs. Keidan and Mrs. Alvin Lezell, both members
of the Women's Division publicity committee.
Ellen Frank, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frank, of WOod-
ingham Dr., was the house guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and
Mrs_ Al Frank, of Vicksburg, Miss.
Dr. David Bukspan, a leading member of the Revisionist Party
in Israel, will be in Detroit next week when he will attempt
revitalize work in the local Revisionist Chapter and Auxiliary. He
will be the house guest of Aaron Weisnrot, 18610 Stoepel. While
here he will help set the stage for the prospective May visit to
Detroit of Menaheim Begin, former Irgun commander and head of
Israel's Herut party .
Helping to plan the biennial convention of the National Jew-
ish Welfare Board which will be held in Detroit next month are

of Ephraim F. Einhorn, rabbi of
Cong. Ahavas Achim, in Detroit.
Mrs. Einhorn. winner of the
title Queen of Haifa through a
newspaper contest, was a former
kindergarten teacher in that
city. A celebration by both fam-
ilies was held in Israel to syn-
chronize with the wedding here.
The bride was attended by
Mrs. Ellis B. Rifkin. Rabbi Ein-
horn's best man was Albert
Burke. Over 300 people from De
troit and Windsor attended the
ceremonies. at which Rabbi
Benjamin Stollman officiated.
The bride chose for her wed-
ding a white satin . gown, with
a sweetheart neckline, long tap-
ering sleeves and ending in a
long, sweeping train. Her finger-
tip veil of illusion fell from a
coronet cap.

ganizations, from the Israel gov-
