A goal of 100 tons has been
set for the Spring Public School
Clothing Drive which opened
Tuesday in Detroit and Wayne
County schools and will con-
tinue through May 2. The public
is asked to take their contribu-
tions of used shoes and clothing
to a public school during the
drive. The garments are then
cleaned and repaired by the
Volunteers of America and given
to needy children absent from
school because parents cannot
afford to clothe _them.
A. N Hennigar, chairman of
the School Social Service Com-

pointed out that the clothing
received in the Spring drive will
be processed in the Summer to
prepare for the heavy demand
