inatory questions from their ap-
plication blanks as a result of
a remedial drive conducted by
the Anti-Defamation League of
Bnai Brith.
Benjamin R. Epstein, ADL na-
tional director, reported that
135 colleges in 21 states have
voluntarily removed questions
pertaining to religion, color and
national origin from their ad-
mission forms.
Need for such action was in-
dicated in a League study which
showed that 92.27 per cent of
the 518 schools and colleges sur-
veyed asked at least one poten-
tially discriminatory question.

Kosher meat from Argentina to
Israel be discontinued until
suitable arrangements are made
for the Israel Chief Rabbinate

Israel Seeks 25 Aircraft
To Combat Swarms of Locusts
TEL AVIV, (JTA , —The Israel
government has asked the
United States for a grant-in-aid
to obtain 25 aircraft for spread-
ing poisoned bait to combat
swarms of locusts.
Bruce McDaniel, American di-
rector of Mutual Security Aid to
Israel, had agreed to recom-
mend to Washington that this
aid be given as part of the gen-
eral anti - locust campaign
throughout the Middle East.
The presence of seven swarms
of locusts in Jordan has been
reported to the Jordan - Israel
Mixed Armistice Commission.
The largest swarm is said to be
12 miles long and two miles
wide. It is feared that the
swarms may move into Israel.
