Plans Tribute to Jewish Music Month

revue, Sunday evening, March 2,
in the Scottish Rite Cathedral
of the Masonic Temple. Abra-
ham Littman is managing the

Miss Jacobson,
sister of the late
Hymie Jacobson,
author - pro- Miss Jacobson
ducer of "Strictly Koser," began
her theatrical career with Hy-
mie and another brother, Irving,
as child actors in Chicago. They
were of a stage family and prac-
tically grew up back stage. Yet
Miss Jacobson, like her brothers,
carved out an individual career
on the Jewish stage, which
eventually made her into a
great star. When she reached
her teens, she met and fell in
love with Julius Adler, while
both appeared in a play. Later
she teamed up with Adler as a
juvenile song and dance pair—
and she also married her part-
ner. They were co-starred in
the film "Catskill Honeymoon."
Yanich to Head Herzl
Camp in 1952 Summer
The Herzl Camp Association,
an affiliate of the Northwest
Region Zionist Youth Commis-
sion, announces the appoint-
ment of Joseph Yanich as as-
sistant director of the camp for
the coming summer.
Yanich has been an active
worker with Jewish youth of
Detroit, and is a former presi-
dent of the Wayne University
Chapter, Intercolliegiate Zion-
ist Federation of America, and a
former national IZFA commit-
tee member.
Mrs. Yanich, the former Re-
gina Kassel, has been appoint-
ed director of arts and crafts at
Herzl Camp. She held a similar
position at Camp Tevya, Brook-
line, N. H., last summer. At the
present time she is attending
the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
