Mrs. Simon Kates of Santa Barbara Drive has returned from
a vacation in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Albert . and daughter, Nancy, of Grand
Rapids will stop in Detroit to visit the members of their .family,
and then leave by plane for a six-weeks' stay in Acapulco, Mexico.
Dr. and Mrs. H. V. Lee of Wildemere Ave. have returned from
several weeks of vacationing in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Eli Castleman of Birchcrest Drive are back from

a fortnight's visit to Miami Beach.
Mrs. Gerald May of Northlawn Ave. left by plane this week
for Bismarck, N. D., to be present at the wedding of her son,
Paul May.

from a brief stay in Chicago.
Miss Eleanor Scher of Chicago spent the past Week with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Saul Scher of Philadelphia.
Mrs. Louis Cohen of the Wilshire Apts. left Tuesday for a
Stay in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Unger of Suffolk Drive entrained for Chi-
cago this Week, and then may plan to go on to Florida.
Mrs. Nat. Bronstein of Whitmore Road is enjoying a two-week
visit in Denver With members of her family and friends.
Mrs. Louis Tabashnik of Fairfield Ave. left for a visit with
members of her family in St. Louis.
Mr. and Mrs. John Heavenrich of Longfellow Ave. will leave
for a stay in Del Ray, Fla.
Mrs. Jack Katzman of Windsor has left for Los Angeles to
visit with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Shapiro.
Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Bachman 'have returned to their Birch-
crest Drive abode after a stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Margolin, of 13265 S. Norfolk, an-
nounce an open house from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the family
home, in honor of their son, Michael H., who celebrated his Bar
Mitzvah Thursday, at Cong. Bnai David.
Audrey .Goldstone entertained at a luncheon at Huyler's in
honor of her sixteenth birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Goldstone, their son Ronald, and daugh-
ter. Audrey, returned from New York where they attended a
wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. David H. Yaffe and daughters, Ronette and
Lenore, of Northlawn Ave., have returned from New York where
they were present at the induction ceremonies of Mrs. Yaffe's
brother, Justice Murray H. Pearlman.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin F. Jacobs, their daughter, Adrienne, and
son, Eric, have returned from a six week stay in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Charlotte Simmons, of Peru, is in Detroit tisiting her
parents, Cantor and Mrs. Jacob H. Sonenklar. Her husband is now
in Chile doing research work for the Smithsonian Institute in
Washington, D. C., and will join his wife in a month. Mrs. Sim-
mons will remain here for three months.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Goldberg, of Fleet Ave., haVe left for an
extended vacation in California. Making the trip with them are
their children, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zusman and their sons, of
Forrer Ave.
Miss Haya Tamer of Tel Aviv, a hostess on the Israel El-Al
Airlines, visited here for two weeks with her uncle and aunt, Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Glieber of Sussex Dr. She is now completing a
two-month vacation and will return to Israel via El-Al. The
Nathan Gliebers will leave next week for a three-month stay with
relatives in Argentina. They will 'celebrate their 30th wedding
anniversary next month.
Cadet Michael Weitzman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Weitzman,
of Santa Rosa Dr., has entered Riverdale Military Academy, at
Hollywood, Fla. •
Mr. and Mrs. Dave J. Knopman celebrated their silvrer wed-
ding anniversary at a party attended by 52 guests at Sid's Cafe
Lounge.

Negbah Chapter Formed by PWO
Under the leadership of Mrs.

Shaarey Zedek, Shola Levitt, of Pioneer Women has been
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack formed. Called the Negbah
Chapter, it brings to 15 the num-
ber of Pioneer Women's groups
in the city.

Climax of the 1952 March of Dimes campaign, which opened
Jan. 2 and continues all through the month, will be on Jan. 31
when 40,000 women of @Detroit conduct their annual Silothers'
March on Polio.
Headed by Anne Campbell Stark and Margaret Trayling, the
drive will have the theme, "Let Your' Light So Shine." The - drive
will last for only one hour, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and residents
in all neighborhoods will be asked to turn on porch lights as a
signal of a contributor.
Thousands of women are still needed for the effort. To enroll,
fill out above coupon.
A cooking school, fashion show and many surprise features
will be featured at the March of Dimes benefit planned by the Fox
Theater for Jan. 29, announced David Idzal, manager. Tickets are

cently declared Pioneer Wom-
en's film, "A Tuft of Grass," the
best movie to be released from
Israel. The movie was recently
translated into Yiddish by Ka-
dia Maladowsky, poetess and ed-
itor, and it available for distri-
bution. Narration is by -Chana
Spector, Yiddish radio commen-
tator.
