PROVIDENCE, (AJP) — Jew-
ish anti-bias officials conferred
with authorities here over sev-
eral.possible violations of postal
regulations by the publisher of
a notorious hate sheet whose
distribution in Rhode Island has
reached alarming proportions.
Disclosure of the parleys with
postal authorities and Anti-De
famation League officials came
on the heels of an announce-
ment that "a sharp increase"
had been noted in the dissemin-
ation of the anti-Jewish hate
sheet "Common Sense" in the
Rhode Island area.
The article peddled the line
that a n t i - Semitism is the
"smoke - screen" behind which
the "enemies of this nation and
Christianity aim to win the cold
war." Another article smeared
Yom Kippur prayers as disloyal.
