ALHAMBRA SCHOOL OF MUSIC

and Cheering It

By JUDAH GILEADI
COLUMBUS, O.—Columbus is
proud of its new Jewish Center
—and rightfully so. It is a mar-
velous institution—and it has
everything you can ask for.
It has 20 acres of grounds—
and there will be canoeing on an
adjoining creek. It has an out-
door swimming pool, a large in-
door gym and swimming pool,
handball courts, bowling alleys,
an entire floor of Hebrew school
classrooms, a very fine assembly
and banquet hall, two kosher
kitchens, etc., etc.— just name
your own desires. The lounging
and meeting rooms, the TV
room, the games and reading
halls—all are impressive.
"Any other city planning a
Jewish Center should come to us
to take a lesson from our en-
deavors," said Ohio Jewish
Chronicle's publisher Ben Neus-
tadt. "And we don't owe a nick-
el!"
Ben takes prides in this struc-
ture—and rightfully so. His pub-
lic relations job, through his
paper, has helped this project
as he helps all other Jewish
efforts.
If you can visit this fine Cen-
ter, do so. You'll take pride in a
Jewish community achievement.

BUENOS AIRES, (JTA)—Fau-
ziel Kaukaji, commander of Arab
forces during the 1936-39 upris-
ings in Palestine, who is a
guest here of the Argentine gov-
ernment, was received by Presi-
dent Juan Peron. Earlier, amid
the presence of Arab leaders, he
placed a wreath on the grave of
Argentine national hero, Gen.
San Martin.
