Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zhnner were honored on the occasion of
their 40th anniversary with a surprise dinner party given by their
daughter and son, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Zimner, of Huntington Woods.
Mr. and Mrs. George Berman, son, Gerald, and daughter, Mar-
lene, of Sturtevant Ave., have left for a three-month visit in
Europe and Israel. Included in their itinerary is a one-month
stay at the French Riviera.
Miss Elayne Lefkofsky and her brother, Dr. Harold Lefton,
have returned from New York City where they stayed at the
Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Krandall and family, of San Juan
Dr., spent Labor Day weekend at Port Sanilac, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Conn (Phyllis Lipchinsky) have . re-
turned from their honeymoon in Nassau, Miami Beach and a
motor tour through the Southeast.
Mrs. Max Wexler of Los Angeles, formerly of Detroit, visited
here this week, en route to the Hadassah convention in Atlantic
City. She will visit here again with relatives end friends in Oc-
tober.
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Rubin, of Princeton Ave., celebrated their
30th anniversary with a family gathering on Sept. 18.
Mrs. Murray J. Grant (Marilyn Weisman) of West Hartford,
Conn:, is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip-S. Weis-
man of Covington Drive. She will be joined by her husband later
in the month to celebrate the High Holy Days here.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs have returned from Israel. Mr.
Jacobs was one of the ZOA delegates to the World Zionist Congress
in Jerusalem.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Roth, of 3281 Tyler, celebrated their 15th
wedding anniversary with their three daughters, Pauline, Carolyn
and Ylonda.
Mrs. Celia Roth, of Clements Ave., celebrated her 68th birth-
day at a party with her five children and 14 grandchildren.
Edward Robinson, of Congregation Shaarey Zedek, will be
among the more than 200 synagogue leaders of the United States
and Canada who will represent their congregations at the con-
location in New York opening the 65th. academic year of the
Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Sunday.
