Mrs. Maurice Gaylord of Beverly Hills, Calif., returned to her
home after being the house guest of her sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Baron of Oakman Blvd. for the past four
and a half weeks. She was extensively entertained by her many
friends and relatives.
Dr. and Mrs. Irvin H. Strub returned to Chicago after visiting
their parents this past week-end. Dr. Strub is on the faculty of
the University of Illinois Medical College.
Gail Hyman, of London Ave., left Monday for a fortnight visit
with friends in Mt. Vernon, N. Y. and NeW York City. While there
she will attend the wedding of classmate from the University of
Michigan.

Rabbi Chaim Meisels and his family are now residing at 3255
Lawrence, TO. 7-2184. Rabbi Meisels, known as one of Europe's
most prominent rabbis, came to Detroit 10 months ago after sur-
viving the horrors of Nazism. He has established his own minyan
with fellow countrymen.
Mrs. Norman Kanter, president, Detroit Pioneer Women Coun-
cil, heads a delegation to Pioneer Women's 12th national conven-
tion to be held in Chicago, Sept. 8 to 13, at Sherman Hotel. The
delegation will include Mesdames Ben Bayer, Irwin Berman, James
Brindze, Charles Bronson, Israel Drachler, Joseph Erman, Morris
Friedman, Gerald E. Goldberg, Abe Heller, Herman Hirschhorn,

Mrs. Gertrude Samter, of Calvert Ave., has returned from a
trip to the Catskill Mountains and New York City where she met
Miss Huldah Fine, who recently returned from a European trip.

troiters, now residing in Sagi-
naw, exchanged marriage vows
with Morton B. Marcus. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. I. M. Marcus, of Ashland,

The bride is a June graduate
of the University of Michigan.
Mr. Marcus graduated from the
University of Nebraska. The
couple will reside in Ann Arbor
while Mr. Marcus completes his
studies at the U. of M. Law

Folk Schools to Begin
Registration for Fall
Registration has started for
the fall semester of the United
Jewish Folk Schools, sponsored
by the Labor Zionist Organiza-
tion and Sholem Aleichem In-
