Mrs. Merwin Grosberg, Honor
Roll chairmen, will introduce
Mrs. Ezra L. Shapiro, of Cleve-
land, one of Hadassah's most
eloquent speakers. Mrs. Shapiro
is a member of the national
board, and has just returned
from her third trip to Israel.
Mrs. Shapiro graduated from
Hunter College, and has at-
tended three World Zionist
Congresses. She worked for the
American Economic Committee
for Palestine, and served as
vice-president of Cleveland Ha.'
dassah as well as president of
the Central States Region.
Mrs. Leo Seligson, program
chairman, has arranged an ad-
ditional program, featuring Mrs.
Morse Saulson, president, and
reports by Mrs. Joseph Newman,
executive vice-president on the
Sept. 16 convention in Atlantic
City.
Mrs. Jackier and Mrs. Gros-
berg will also give a review of
honor roll. A new song, written
by Mrs. Harry Landsman and
Mrs. Seymour Krause, will be
introduced. Mrs. Ben Mossman,
fund-raising vice-president will
speak. Mrs. Morris Adler will
deliver the invocation.
Luncheon reservations may be
made by calling Hadassah office,
TY. 8-8216 no later than today.
Kits for campaign workers will
be distributed at group meetings
scheduled for today. Central
East Group meets at 12:30 p.m.,
at the home of Mrs. Saul R.
Levin, 2055 W. Boston.

To Hear Women's Vice-Pres.

gress, will be host to Mrs. Ivy
Brdsk, national Women's Divi-
sion vice-president, at its meet-
ing on Tuesday, announced Rab-
bi Israel I. Halpern, Chapter
president. An informal gather-

meeting at 8:30 p.m., Sept. 12,
in the synagogue. Mickey and
Sammy Woolf and Max Sosin
will headline the opening pro-
gram, arranged by Sam Lankin,
program chairman, and assisted
by Albert Lubin and Max Mind-
lin. A rhumba and samba exhi-
bition will be given by Arthur
Murray dancers.

Minstrel Show Planned

To start activities for the fifth
annual donor luncheon of the
Department of Michigan Ladies
Auxiliary, Jewish War Veterans
in November, Mrs. Ruth Elson,
president, announces The Maid-
en's Blush Minstrel Show will be
given at 8:30 p.m., Sept. • 24, in
the auditorium of the Davison
Jewish Center.
The minstrel show will be the
highlight of the rally which is
being given in connection with
the donor. Chairmen are Mrs.
Betty Spinner and Mrs. M a e
Ginsberg. Musical director is
Mrs. Frances Chaiken.
There are still openings for
specialty dancers and vocalists.

Mrs. Rosenthal, new presi-
dent, announces the group's
19th annual donor luncheon will
be held Dec. 5, at the Fort
Wayne Hotel. Mrs. Louis Kepes
is general chairman.
