from Camden, N. J., where they visited with their children, Mr.
and Mrs. Allan Bottney.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stark of Shrewsbury Road are vacationing
at the Lombardy Hotel, Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Glasier of Birchcrest Drive spent a week-
end in Chicago to visit their daughter, Mary, at Northwestern
University, Evanston, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Greenspoon of Woodingham Drive are
back from a six-week vacation at the Sherry Frontenac, Miami
Beach.
Dr. and Mrs. Louis Barnett, accompanied by their daughters,
Virginia and Peggy, of Normandy Ave., left May 2 for Rochester,
N. Y. to hear their son, Richard, play with the Rochester Sym-
phony Orchestra.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Varkel of Cortland Ave. have returned from
Miami Beach. Mr. Varkel joined his wife for the last part of her
six-week stay at the Casa Blanca.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Weisman of Suffolk Road are leaving
May 5 to sail for Europe on the SS Independence.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Hartman and daughter, Carolyn, of Indi-
ana Ave., are spending the week-end in Chicago on the occasion
of the 80th birthday of Mrs. Hartman's aunt, Mrs. Anne Goodman.
Home from a five-week vacation at the Shoremede, Miami
Beach, are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernstein and son, Harry, of Oak
Drive.
Mrs. Harry Robbins of West Outer Drive has returned from a
visit with her sister, Mrs. William Elson, in the San Fernando
Valley, Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. Arthur Miller and daughter, Cynthia, have returned to
their home in Chicago Ill., after visiting with her mother, Mrs.
Saul Lipchinsky, of Leslie Ave., for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Rubiner of Muirland Ave. will sail for
Europe and Israel this Week.
Dr. and Mrs. Ezra Lipkin have left for Philadelphia to
attend the graduation recital of their daughter, Eleanor, from
the Curtis Institute of Music on May 12. Eleanor has been a
scholarship student there for five years, and will receive a bachelor
of music degree.
Mr. and Mrs. Morton H. Barris and family, of Leechburg, Pa.,
have returned home after spending the Passover holidays with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Marks, of Clairmount Ave.
Radomer Aid Society and Auxiliary celebrated the triple silver
wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Adler, 1629 Taylor; Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Goodman, 2669 Calvert; and Mr. and Mrs. J.
Elbom, 2705 Cortland, at a party Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Markus have returned to their home after
spending the winter months in Hollywood Beach, Fla.

To Hold Annual Meeting

be guest speaker. Movies of
children engaged in school ac-

NEW YORK, (JTA) — Chaim
Bellowsky, who attended all
Zionist Congresses until 1933 and
was one-time member of the
Zionist actions committee, left
for Israel to join the Depart-
ment of Trade and Industry.

Hadassah Region
Conference In
Toledo, May 5-7

Three hundred delegates rep-
resenting 33 cities in Michigan,
Ohio, Kentucky and W. Virginia
will convene at the Commodore
Perry Hotel in Toledo, May 5,
6 and 7 for the 25th annual con-
ference of the Central States
Region of Hadassah.
Miss Julliet N. Benjamin of
New York, national coordinator
of Hadassah's fund raising ac-
tivities, who will be national
advisor, and Maurice Samuel,
noted author and lecturer, will
address the banquet session.
Mrs. Carl Schiller, president
of the region, announced that
sessions will open Saturday
night following buffet suppers,
and Miss Benjamin will speak on
the progress of Hadassah's work
in Israel.
The movie "Hands of Healing"
depicting Hadassah's medical
work in Israel, and the film
strip of Israel's fashions, will be
among the visual aids shown.
An education panel will in-
clude a discussion on "Guide-
Posts to Jewish Education."
The youth workshops will
feature a playlet on youth de-
velopment. Factual program-
ming aids will be presented by
Herman Fishman, Leonard
Baruch and Allan Feinberg of
Cincinnati.
A noon luncheon will feature,
music and a playlet. The after-
noon session will point up the
current scene in Israel, sparked
by an address from Miss Benja-
min.
Mrs. Max Frank will conduct
a fund raising clinic.
The banquet Sunday night will
pay tribute to past presidents of
the region. Mr. Samuel will dis-
cuss "World Jewry in Trans-
ition". A _cantata "Seven Golden
Buttons" will be given by the
Toledo Chapter. Workshops on
program exhibits will be held an

Toledo is chairman of the con-
ference. Mrs. Arthur Edelstein
