leased by Atlantic Towers Hotel,
located on Miami Beach's fa-
mous Gold Coast in Florida.
Newly-weds are met on their

Symphony to Play
In Circle Concert

A large portion of the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra will join
the Workmen's Circle Chorus in
presenting the oratorio, "Tzvei
Brider," which is taken from the
poem by I. L. Peratz, in a concert
to be presented at 8:30 p.m.,
June 3, at the Institute of Arts.
"Israel Reborn," the cantata,
will be repeated here under the
direction of Dan Trohman, who
is celebrating his 18th year as
leader of the Chorus. The poem,
set to the music of J. Schaefer,
is presented in recognition of
100th anniversary since the birth
of the great Jewish poet, Peretz.
A number of other selections,
many of which were arranged
by Frohman, will round out the
program. Tickets may be ob-

JDC Honors Kahn

Dr. Bernhard Kahn, vice-
chairman of the Joint Distribu-
tion Committee, was honored on
his 75th birth-
day, - when JDC
hairman Ed-
ward M. M.
Warburg pre-
sented the dis-
tinguished Jew-
ish leader with
a scroll on be-
half of the
agency's leader
Dr. .Kahn's ship, citing
Kahn's "more than 48 years of
great humanitarian service to
Jews throughout the world."
Dr. Kahn, who has served JDC
since 1921 as head of the agen-
cy's refugee department, Euro-
pean director, honorary chair-
man of the JDC executive coun-
cil and vice-chairman, served for
17 years previously as general
secretary of the Hilfsverein der
Deutschen Juden.

The Kiddush will be chanted
by Cantor Hyman J. Adler of
Congregation Bnai David.
The script for the TV program
was written by Rabbi Julius
Weinberg, director of the culture
commission of the Council, and
is being directed by Shields
Dierkes of the WWJ staff.
