Playing in the newly opened nursery of the Davison Jewish
Center are three-year-olds Sally Murov, Andrea Cowan, Noreen
McLeod, Michael Neuschatz and Joey Shiefman. The nursery,
which conducts two half-day sessions for three and four-year
olds, is accepting new registrations. Mrs.. Mildred Rolnitsky
Freedman, formerly of City and County School, is director.

M. Butzel Memorial Award to
the individual contributing most
to Jewish communal life in De-
troit will be presented at the
annual meeting of the Jewish
Welfare Federation, establishers
of the award, on April 9, in-the
Woodward Jewish Center, Sam-
uel H. R u b i n e r, Federation
president, announced.
Preceding the annual meeting,
presidents of Federation mem-
ber agencies and divisions will
be honored at a presidents' din-
ner, at 6:30 p.m., in Butzel Hall
of the Center.
Members of Federation will
elect nine members-at-large to
their board of governors at the
annual meeting. Suggested
nominees, submitted by t h e
nominating committee, are Jos-
eph Bernstein, Irwin I. Cohn,
Rabbi Leon F r a m, William
Friedman, Mrs. John C. Hopp,
Henry Meyers, Morris L. Schav-
er, Ben L. Silberstein and Bar
ney Smith.
All . contributors to the 1950
Allied Jewish Campaign a r e
members of Federation and are
eligible to vote for Board mem-
bers. Other persons may be
nominated by petition or peti-
tions signed by not less than 25
members of the Federation and
filed with the executive direc-
tor of Federation not less than

Lotta Levensohn, a work com-
memorating the first 25 years
of the Hebrew University in Je-
rusalem, has been published un-
der the supervision of the pub-
lication committee of the Ameri-
can Friends of the Hebrew Uni-
versity, it is announced by Prof.
Oscar I. Janowsky, chairman of
the committee and vice-presi-
dent of American Friends.
Edited by Marie Syrkin, this
anniversary volume includes an
introduction by Dr. I. S. Wech-
sler, national president of
American Friends. It is the work
of American-born Miss Leven-
sohn, who left her native city
of Buffalo 27 years ago to make
her home in Jerusalem. After
rapid fame as an outstanding
journalist and translator, she
entered the service of the He-
brew University in the Depart-
ment of Organization and In-
formation.
