ROME, (JTA) — The Italian
Government has granted a re-
quest of the Union of Italian

after hostilities ended.
The request was addressed to
the government after the Union
had received complaints that
local courts had, in some in-
stances, refused to apply the
law on declaration of death of
missing persons to deportees.
