Manischewitz Lists
Traditional Recipes
For Hanukah Menus
In the midst of winter, when
skies are sullen and frost covers
the window panes, the welcome
holiday of Hanukah, Feast of
Lights, arrives to brighten the
season. On the evening of the
24th of Kislev, Jews throughout
the world paused to kindle the
first light on the Menorah to
commemorate the great victory
of the Maccabees and the re-
dedication of the Temple.
Hanukah is a truly joyous
holiday—a time of gift-giving-
and festivities. The children
play special games and sing spe-
cial songs . . . and, for everyone,
there are the wonderful tradi-
tional Hanukah dishes—dishes
like these that are always a real
delight at mealtimes.
These Hanukah recipes, taken
from the Manischewitz cook
book, "Tempting Kosher Dishes,"
have been tested and approved
in the Manischewitz scientific
experimental kitchens:
