of the United Fund executive
committee, which will meet Dec.
13 at Lansing to raise the re-
maining 20 percent of their goal
to support 29 health and com-
munity service agencies.

The senior class of CENTRAL
HIGH SCHOOL is presenting
Gilbert and Sullivans' "T H E
MIKADO", Wednesday and
Thursday evenings. The prin-
cipal roles are played by Max-
ine Margolin and Helen Alex-
ander, alterating as Yum Yum,
and Albert Kee as Nanki Pooh.
Also in the cast are Jerome
Berg, Eugene Zweig, Fred Bran-
in, Cecile Kasmir, Joan Erman,
Sidney Lutz, and Linda Fuller.
The operetta is under the di-
rection of Dr. Harry Seitz, head
of the fine arts department at
Central.

will hold its seventeenth annual
dinner dance Jan. 7 at Bnai

vision Good for Your Children"
will be discussed at a meeting
of DURFEE CHAPTER, Better
Schools Association, at 8 p.m.,
Tuesday in the school auditori-
um. Fran Harris, of radio sta-
tion WWJ, a teacher, parent
and student will participate in
the discusssion. Revisions to the
constitution will be made.

Philadelphia ZOA Ships Complete Factory to Israel ' Grossinger's Hotel Adds

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — M a -
chinery for the equipment of a
complete Needle Trades School
in Israel, assembled by the Zion-
ist Organization of America
here, has been loaded aboard
the SS. Henrietta Szold for ship-
ment to the Jewish State, it was
announced by Philip S. Resnikov,
president of the Philadelphia
ZOA.

Rabbi Maimon's visit will also
take place during the celebra-
tion of the 13th anniversary of
the Mossad Harav Kook, the
leading religious scholarly foun-
dation in Israel which he found-

The first public reception to
be held in honor of the minis-
ter will be a banquet at the
Waldorf-Astoria Jan. 28. He will
visit Detroit on Feb. 18.

"Oliver Twist" To Be Shown
In United States Soon
NEW YORK— (JTA)—"Oliver

Twist," a British-produced mo-
tion picture based on the
Charles Dickens' novel, which
has been termed anti-Semitic
because of the character por-
trayal of Fagin, will be released
in the United States soon by
Eagle Lion. 'Classics. The film
has been banned in a number of
countries. Its distribution in the
T.J.S. was held up following pro-
tests by Jewish and other
grdups.
