Mesdames Morris Morton and Aron Konit were among the
Detroiters who attained the western regional meeting of Alpha
Theta Omega fraternity and auxiliary at Louisville, Ky., Oct. 28
and 29.
Mr. J. Rovner of 4258 Clements left Oct. 30 for Boston, Mass.
The evening before, he was entertained at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. L. Efrussy on Sturtevant, by members of his wife's club.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Beltzman of 3253 Clements celebrate their 17th
wedding anniversary Sunday with their four children.
Robert Rosenberg of Clements Ave., gave a Hallowe'en party
for 12 couples at Rosenberg Catering, Oct. 28.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Levin of Strathcona Drive are spending
the week in Ellsworth, Michigan.
In honor of the engagement of their daughter, Ruth Elaine,
to William S. Rattner, son of Dr. and Mrs. Moe Rattner, Mr. and
Mrs. WilliaM S. Frank of Wildemere Avenue entertained 23 mem-
bers of the immediate families at a brunch last Sunday at the
Great Lakes Club in the Lee Crest.
Guests of the Robert Rafelson Auxiliary and Post of the Jew-
ish War Veterans on Monday evening were children of Detroit
gold star mothers. More than a hundred children enjoyed games,
prizes and refreshments at the Halloween party given at the Jew-
ish War Veterans' Memorial Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Smith of Oak Drive visited in Grand
Rapids during the past weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loeb of Chicago are visiting in Ann Ar-
bor this weekend to attend the Michigan-Illinois football game,
and in Detroit with their family, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Klein of
Stratford Road and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Franklin of Muirland Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hirschberg and son, formerly of South
La 'Salle Gardens, have moved to Chicago to make their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Frank of Lawrence Avenue have left on
a three-week vacation in New York City and a Guatemala cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. William Zack of Ewald Circle recently returned
from a ten-day vacation in New York City, where they were guests
at the Savoy-Plaza Hotel.
Mrs. Melville S. Welt of Balmoral Drive has returned from a
visit in Chicago.
Among the guests from other cities who were in Detroit to
attend the Krandall-Clinton wedding on October 24 were Mr. and
Mrs. David Levy of Pittsburgh, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Leventhal,
Mr. and Mrs. S. Baker and their daughter Ruth, and Mr. and Mrs.
William Baker of Utica,. New York, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bloch of
Tucson, Arizona.
Miss Lois Kollenburg of Grand Rapids was the guest of her
aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rafelson of Oak Drive, during
the past weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Miles Finsterwald, formerly of Balmoral Drive,
have left for New York City, where they will reside part of the
time each year.
Mrs. Joseph Hartman of Chicago Blvd., Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Kline of Birchcrest Drive and Miss Julia Klein of Whitmore Road
recently returned from a short visit with family and friends in
Cleveland.
