Mr. and Mrs. Julius Goldman of Griggs Ave. have as their
house guests their sister, Mrs. Samuel Greenbaum, niece, Mrs.
Roslyn Epps and small daughter Bobby Lou of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. M. Kaplan will arrive this week from New York City to visit
the Goldmans.
Mrs. Milton Alexander of Calvert Ave. has returned from a
ten-day visit with relatives and friends in Cincinnati.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Selesko of Santa Barbara Drive have as
their guests for several weeks their mother, Mrs. Joseph Levy,
and their aunt, Miss Lillian Federline of Nev York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fechimer of Huntington Woods are visit-
ing in New York City this week. They are guests at the Savoy
Hotel.
Mrs. Ted Friedman of Bay City visited in Detroit during the
past week.
Mr. and Mrs. DeRoy Kuttnauer and their daughter, Virginia,
of Fairfield Ave. have returned from a 10-day stay at Hotel Shel-
bourne, Atlantic City, N. J., where they attended the wedding of
their son, Calvin, to Annette Souchal, Sept. 23.
Mrs. Leon Van Vliet of Elmhurst Ave. recently returned from
a 10-day visit in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jacobowitz of Strathcona Drive have
left for a trip to California.
Mrs. Benjamin Fink of the Lee Plaza Hotel has returned from
a visit with her family and friends in Minneapolis, Minn,
Mrs. Henry Weil of the Lee Crest Apartments returned re-
cently from a visit in New York City.
Honoring Miss Betty Frank of Pennington Drive, a bride-elect
of this month, Miss Irene Cott will entertain at a luncheon and
kitchen gadget shower, on Oct. 6, at her home on Chicago Blvd.
Mrs. Isaac Gilbert, formerly of W. Boston Blvd., is now resid-
ing in her new home at 17524 Third Ave.
Detroiters who were guests. at Hotel Shelbourne, Atlantic
City, N. J., for the occasion of the Kuttnauer-Souchal wedding
there on Sept. 23, included Mrs. Sadie Knuttauer, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Kuttnauer, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Goldsmith with their
daughters, Cora Jane and Sue Anne, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Krohn,

Moshe will open its social-cult-
ural season with Family Night
at 8:30 p.m. next Tuesday. Jon
Silo, New York humorist, will
appear in a program of Jewish
wit and humor. The public is
invited.
The Bnai Moshe Men's Club
will sponsor a lecture by Dr.
Max Arzt, professor of practical
theology at the Jewish *Theolo-
gical Seminary, on Nov. 14,
marking the opening of the
Adult School of Jewish Studies.

Art Classes Reopen
At Woodward Center

Art classes for advanced and
elementary students will reopen
at the Woodward Jewish Com-
munity Center, Sunday, Oct. 8,
Mrs. Arthur Bloom, chairman of
Center art committee, an-
nounces.
Leon Makielski, beginning his
18th year as a Center instructor,
will conduct life classes for adult
students, both elementary and
advanced. Painting in all med-
iums will be explored.
Sam Bernstein will instruct
children and beginners in paint-
ing, sculpture and crafts.
Classes will meet twice weekly.
Scholarships or partial pay-
ment plans may be arranged for
children or adults unable to
meet the full fee.
