spending a week visiting their sister and brother, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack L. Kann of Ardmore Road.
Dr. and Mrs. Randolph P. Weber of Woodingham Drive are
vacationing for three weeks at the Sherry Frontenac in Miami
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Lieberman of Santa Barbara Drive have
left for Charlevoix to spend the summer in their new home there.
Dr. and Mrs. Hyman Canfor of W. Outer Drive are spending
three weeks in Miami Beach.
On June 20 at Rotanda Inn, Pine Lake, Mrs. Louis Katz was
honored, in the presence of her three daughters, Mrs: M. G. Berger,
Mrs. M. A. Platt and Mrs. J. M. Katz, by the present and past
presidents, officers and board members of the Young Women
Bicur Cholem Organization, in appreciation for her endeavors for
the organization.

For Determined Israel
Mr. and Mrs. Louis LaMed, re-
cently returned from touring
Israel, this week expressed their
conviction that Israel, in spite of
the difficulties facing it, is cer-
tain to succeed.
As an educator and leader in
cultural movements, Mr. LaMed
is the sponsor of the LaMed Cul-
tural Foundation, he was espe-
cially impressed with the
progress made in rebirth of the
Hebrew language. He said that
while newcomers find it difficult
to master the language, the fact
that children have conquered it
is a sign of tremendous achieve-
ment.
