Littman Brings 'Sing, Israel, Sing'
To Masonic as Season's Last Offering

"Sing, Israel, Sing," a musical
production which has enjoyed a
20-week run in New York and
been acclaimed by critics of the
Yiddish stage will be seen in
Detroit on Sunday evening, May
7, at the Scottish Rite Cathed-
ral of Masonic Temple.
Abraham Littman, who brings
the show to Detroit, announces
that Paul Burstein, noted singer
and dancer, and his partner,
Lillian Lux, will headline the
cast, which also features David
Lublitzky and Esther Saltzman,
the two youngest comedians on
the Yiddish stage today, and
Ella Weilerstein, Leon Cha-
ras, Gittele Stein, Leon Scecht-
er, Irving Goldstein, Hyman
Feinstein, Harry Levine and
others.
The presentation of this New
York hit, which was seen and
appreciated by many thousands,
is timely, inasmuch as it follows
the celebration of Israel's sec-
ond anniversary," Littman de-
clared.

This play will be the last Yid-
dish stage performance of the
season. Littman also pointed out
that in case of unseasonably
warm weather, the auditorium is
equipped with a cooling system.
Tickets for "Sing, Israel, Sing"
are available at Borenstein's
Book Store, 8663 Twelfth St.;
Metro Music House, 10328 Dex-
ter; Detroit Hebrew Book Store,
12226 Dexter, and from A. Litt-
man, the Barlum Hotel, WO.
