Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stone of Elmhurst Ave. have returned
from a stay in Miami Beach. -
Every week many Detroiters take part in the activities at the
Whitcomb Sulphur Springs Hotel, St. Joseph, Mich. The pro-
gram is directed by Morton H. Greene, pnublic relations director.
Among the D4troiters present this week were: Harry Lichter, Dr.
M. L. Lichter, Samuel Berger, Herman Fenton, Max Lipin, Ben
Okim, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Allers, Mr. and Mrs. R. Bensman, Mr

Mr. and Mrs: Moe D. Egren of Indiana Ave. entertained at a
cocktail party April 15 in honor of the engagement of their son,
Norman, to Renee Dicken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Dicken
of Outer Drive.

Anitta Schwarz, her sister Mrs. Raymond Gold and daughter
Renee, will sail for Europe April 29 on the Queen Mary. They
plan to visit their parents in Austria and to tour Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Shiller of Holcomb Ave. have returned
to their home after visiting with their son-in-law and daughter
Dr. and Mrs. Bernard Adinoff of Waynesville, N. C. Ralph Shiller,
who is associated with the Cleveland Orchestra, will be at home
with his parents until the beginning of the summer concerts in
the Cleveland Public Auditorium.
Mrs. R. W. Klein and Miss Marilyn S. Klein of Wisconsin Ave.
have returned to their home after a stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman R. Sable of the Wilshire Hotel, have re-
turned from an extended trip to Williamsburg, Va., Washington,
Nassau and the Bahamas.
Bonnie Segal, daughter of Mrs. Edith Segal and the late Dr.
David Segal, has chosen Sept. 24 as the date of her marriage to
Harold B. Greenblatt son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Greenblatt.
Dorothy Davis of 3790 Sturtevant was honored at a 'sweet
sixteen' party at the Book-Cadillac, Saturday, April 15.
Jerry Schweitzer of Sturtevant Ave., has returned from a
vacation in Havana, Cuba, and Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Harrison of Monica Ave. and his mother,
Mrs. Anna Harrison, will leave April 23 for New York, from where
they will sail April 27 on the LaGuardia for Israel. While there
they will visit Mrs. Harrison's mother, Mrs. Ethel Zellman of
Jerusalem, Meyer Harrison of Ramat Jochanan and other relatives.

Weinberg, and Chajes, as well as
excerpts from Handel's "Judas
Maccabaeus," are listed on the

conducted by Eugene Ormandy,
will appear in a concert here
Tuesday, May 2, at Masonic
Auditorium. The Philadelphia
Orchestra was a
war baby—hav-
ing been formed
during the
Spanish-Ameri-
can War, in the
late '90s. Eugene
Ormandy was
appointed c o-
conductor in
1936. He had
pre v iously

served on many
occasions as guest conductor,
when he had established his
popularity and his outstanding
abilities.

SEYMOUR LIPKIN, noted
young Detroit pianist who began
his current 65-concert tour last
fall in Detroit will complete the
season in this city May 25, when
he appears as guest soloist with
the Wayne University Symphony
Orchestra. On May 6 and 13, at
9:30 p.m., Lipkin will be soloist
on two half-hour programs, to
be broadcast on WQXR, New
York, 1550 on the dial.

BEERSHEBA, Israel—(JTA)—
A hospitail named in memory of
the late Dr. Chairm Yasski, who
headed the HadaSsah medical
program in this country until he
was killed in an Arab attack on
a Jewish convoy two years ago,
was dedicated in this ancient
Biblical city.
