Dorothy Strohl is now residing at the Detroit-Chatham Apt. Bride of Marvin Leader

Hotel, 1600 Pingree.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Vineberg of Roselawn Ave. are spending
two weeks at Miami Beach in celebration of their 30th anniver-
sary, March 16. Mrs. Vineberg returned March 4 from a four-week
visit in Tucson.
Agnes Silverman, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. M. Silverman
celebrated her 16th birthday March 4 with a sweet-sixteen lunch-
eon at the Whittier.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burak of Longfellow Ave. have returned
from a visit in Boston, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wagner of Wellesley Drive have returned
to Detroit from a vacation in Miami Beach, Fla.
Dr. Michael Freeman and his son, Mickey Freeman, of Wel-
lesley Drive are traveling for several weeks in Mexico and Central
America.
Mr. and Mrs. Jay Coggan o f Monte Vista Ave. have joined
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Coggan of Cambridge Road, at
the Croyden Arms Hotel in Miami Beach, where they will remain
for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Melville S. Welt of Balmoral Drive, accompanied
by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wineman of Hamilton Drive, have sailed
on the S. S. Stella Polaris on an extended Caribbean Cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Srere of Boston Boulevard are guests at
Hotel Martinique in Miami Beach for several weeks.
Mrs. Leo Franklin of Muirland Ave. is visiting with relatives
in Chicago and Cincinnati.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horowitz of Warrington Drive have
returned from a month's vacation in Miami Beach, where they
were guests at the Sherry Frontenac Hotel.
Mrs. Julius V. Brown of Lincolnshire Drive is visiting in New
York City with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Kramer.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gerson of the Belcrest Hotel are guests
at the Sea Isle Hotel in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Al Mann of Covington Drive is spending several weeks
at Hot Springs, Ark., where she has joined her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Hirschberg of McKeesport, Pa. . .
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Daniels of Warrington Drive are vaca-
tioning in Miami Beach for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Shwayder of Wellesley Drive have
returned from a trip to New York. Mrs. Shwayder appeared as
soloist in concert at Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, on March 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Yolles of West Outer Drive have returned
from a month's visit in Miami Beach.

Men's Club Activities

The bowling league of DON-
ALD FOX LODGE, BNAI BRITH
has completed plans for the
post-season dinner, to take place
at the Park Avenue Penthouse
May 10. The membership 'com-
mittee of Fox Lodge, under the
chairmanship of Bob Katz, is
continuing its efforts in the
membership campaign.

REX LODGE'S "Mint-O-Mon-
ey," is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 18, at the May-
fair Room, Dexter at Waverly.
The public is invited to "be-
come millionaires" at the "Mint-
0-Money."

The new meeting place of
GEORGE GERSHWIN LODGE,
BNAI BRITH, will be the Ha-
levy Music Center, Linwood and
Fleet, according to president
Bernard Weiss. At the first
meeting at the new hall, at 8:30
p.m., Thursday, March 23, a
menorah will be presented to the
Gershwin Chapter. Arthur Mur-
ray Studios will give a dancing
exhibition and a movie short
will complete the program. The
public is invited.

CARL klidEDBERG, world-re-
nowned pianist, will be guest ar-
tist at the annual concert of .pi.e
Jewish Center music depart-
ment, according to Mrs. Royal
S. Maas, chairman of the music
committee. The concert has
been scheduled for May 17 at
the Art Institute.

PISGAH LODGE, BNAI
BRITH, will hold its all-star
boxing show at 3:30 p.m. Mon-
day, March 20, at the Jewish
Center, Woodward at Holbrook.
Michigan State Boxing Com-
missioner Floyd Stevens, in con-
junction with the Michigan
Amateur Athletic Union, has ap-
proved eight regular boxing
matches. Former Michigan wel-
terweight champion Morrie
Sherman will referee. An ex-
clusive feature, in addition to
the regular bouts, will be a
match between K. 0. Morgan
and Dave Karp. Several out-
standing sports celebritieS will
be present. The sports event is
limited to paid-up members
only.

Al Farber, fund-raising chair-
man of LOUIS MARSHALL
LODGE, BNAI BRITH, announ-
ces that a games party will
take place May 9 at the Work-
men's Circle. President James
Laker has announced that the
Lodge is sponsoring a scholar-

ship, and trophy, to be awarded
for the best essay on "Brother-
hood" written by Wayne Uni-
versity students of all faiths.
The contest will ,be conducted
under the auspices of Rabbi
Max Kapustin, director of the
Wayne Hillel Foundation.

Edward Bard, veterans affairs
chairman of HENRY MORGEN-
THAU LODGE, BNAI BRITH,
announces that a variety show
will be given at the Marine Hos-
pital, under the Lodge's spon-
sorship, on Wednesday, March
22. Talent for the show will be
drawn from both the Lodge and
Chapter. Members of the Lodge
are minded that Baseball prac-
tice will begin soon. Anyone in-
*rested in playing this season
is urged to contact the athletic
chairman, Leo Kaplan, TO. 6-
5811. The next meeting of the
Lodge will be at 8:30 p.m. Mon-
day, March 20, at the Rose Sit-
tig Cohen Building.
