At the Histadrut campaign rally last week, HARRY
SCHUMER (right) campaign executive chairman, presented
awards to LARRY A. NICHAMIN (center) as worker of the
week, and to PHILIP D. GOLDSTEIN (left) for Branch Two,
LZOA, as outstanding Labor Zionist branch of the week.

At the Dec. 2 9 rally of Detroit's $300,000 Histadrut campaign,
it was announced that, in spite of the holiday season, campaign
workers are pushing solicitations, with more than $70,000 already
pledged.
Philip Slomovitz, editor of The Jewish News, stirred workers
and delegates at the rally with his report of what the thousands
of newcomers are going through
in their adjustments to Israel.

ISTANBUL, (JTA)—The mass

has resulted in the emigration
of 30,000 Jews from this country,
has come to a standstill. Emi-

tinuing at a reduced pace. Ap-
proximately 250 Jews left for
Israel during November.
