Children Form Living Menorah,
At Jewish Folk Schools Celebration

This group was one section of the 'close to 100 children
who participated in the Jewish Folk Schools Hanukah cele-
bration.

Parents, faculty and members
of the Labor Zionist movement
joined the children of the Jewish
Folk Schools in the Hanukah
celebration at the Labor Zionist
Institute last Sunday. The light-
ing of the candles and the sing-
ing of traditional songs featured
the celebration.
A group of children formed
"A Living Menorah," formed of
Hebrew letters. There were reci-
tations and dances. A play was
.presented in Hebrew. I. Shro-
deck greeted the gathering in the
name of the parents and the
Labor Zionists. Hanukah gifts
were presented to the children.
Another Hanukah celebration
was presented Sunday by the
pre-kindergarten class of the
Jewish Folk Schools.,

Israelis to Participate
In Agudath Program



Agudath Israel of Detroit will
mark the establishment of Jeru-
salem as Israel's capital at its
Oneg Shabbath, 8:30 p.m. Fri-
day, Dec. 23, by arranging an
all-Israel program. Members
who have lived and worked in
Israel will participate.
Rabbi Feivel Kahana, a na-
tive of Jerusalem and a member
of the Israel armed forces, will
be principal speaker. Also on
the program will be Benjamin
Aronsan, Aaron Grossbard and
David Bresler.
The program is under the di-
rection of Rabbi Leizer Levin,
and will take place at 11331 Lin-
wood.
