The Young Israel Institute for
Jewish Studies enters its fourth
week of the current term, with
a few curriculum revisions : On
Tuesday evenings, Jewish his-
tory and Jewish laws and cere-
monies at 8 pm.; elementary
Hebrew, 9 p.m.
On Wednsday evenings, con-
rersational Hebrew and selec-
tions from the Talmud, 8 p.m.;
contemporary currents in Israel
and the American scene, 9 p.m.
On Thursday evenings, Daf
Yomi, guest rabbi each week,
open to all laymen; Hebrew let-
tering, 8 p.m. On Friday eve-
nings, youth study hour and
Bible and commentaries at 8
p.m.

The NorthWest Hebrew Cong.
Institute of Adult Jewish studies
is still accepting registration. All
men and women in the com-
munity are invited. Adult study
classes are held each Tuesday
from 8 to 10 p.m.

Fair." A dessert luncheon will
precede the meeting at which
Mrs. M. George Wayburn will
preside. Mrs. Edman Marks is
program committee chairman.

Israel Art Galleries
Present Painting to U.-C.

LOS ANGELES — (JTA) — An
-oil painting by Pincas Litvi-
novsky, Tel Aviv painter, was
presented to the University of
California here, in the name of
the Israel Art Galleries, as a
symbol of international ex-
change of art and culture.

A ' cantata, "What Is Torah,*
will highlight the donor lunch-
eon to be given by the Sister-
hood of Cong. Bnai Moshe at \
12:30 p.m. Dec. 12, in the social
hall.
Mrs. Lillian Robbins Zellman
is directing Sisterhood members
in this presentation. Mrs. James
Sobel is general chairman of the
affair, assisted by Mrs. Elfreda
Greenwald. Mrs. Harry Gunsberg
is program chairman.
Members and friends are re-
quested, to make reservations at
once.

The newly-formed Sisterhood
of Cong. Mogen Abraham met
last Wednesday at the home, of
Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Beale, 3298
Sturtevant.
The following women were
elected to office: Mrs. Hyman
Beale, president; Mrs. Irving
Keys, recording secretary; Mrs.
Nathan Marcus, corresponding-
secretary; and Mrs. Ben Krugel,
treasurer.
Committee work will be han-
dled by Mrs. Harry Saltsrnan,
sunshine; Mrs. Max J. Wohlgel-
ernter, membership; Mrs. Jacob
