Gaining Momentum in
Businessmen's Sessions

Col. and Mrs. Ervin GreenbauM. of -Sturtevant Ave. were in
Fort Leavenworth, Kan., where Col: Gfeenbauni was a member
of the faculty of the Army's Command . : and General Staff College
during the week of Nov. 28.
Mrs. Sadye Singer of Rochester Ave. has returned from a two
months' visit in Israel and Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Greenbaum of Sturtevant Ave. are spend-
ing a week in Leavensworth, Kan.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lasky of McNichols Rd. spent the last
week-end in Boston where they visited with members of their

family.

Miss Marcia Tobin, who is doing graduate work at the Man-
hattan School of Music, and s her fiance, Louis . Sklarsky, of New
York spent the Thanksgiving week-end with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Tobin of Webb Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edelson (Elaine. Krell) have moved into
their new home at 19474 Hartwell Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zierer and. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rodin
have returned to their home in Los Angeles after a few days' visit
with members of their family.
Mrs. Max M..Fisher of Parkside Ave. has left for Tucson,
Ariz., where she plans to spend the winter. She is a guest at
the Hotel El Conquistador.
Mr. and Mrs. Barney Salinger of Tyler Ave. and Mr. and Mrs.
Abe Baer of California spent the Thanksgiving week-end in New
York where they were guests at the St. Moritz Hotel.
Mrs. Sophie Dee has returned to Boston after spending the
Thanksgiving week-end with members of her family and friends.
Mrs. Charles Nannes and her small son have returned to their
home in Evapsville, Ind., after an eight weeks' visit with Mr. and
Mrs. Max Krell of Washburn Ave.
Mrs. Harris Gallow of Webb Ave. left on Sunday for Miami
Beach where she plans to spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fisher of Vassar Dr. spent the last week-
end in St. Joseph, Mich.
• Mr. and Mrs. Howard Winkelman and their children Janyce
and David have returned to their home in Chicago after a fort-
night's visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Landsberg of
Roselawn Ave.
Mrs. Samuel Gluckman has returned to New York after spend-
ing the last week-end as the guest of her brother-in-law and
sister, Dr. and Mrs. S. Quentin Kessler of Wildemere Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Perry Phillips have returned to their classes at
Michigan State College, in East Lansing, after spending the
Thanksgiving week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Phillips of Calvert Ave.
••Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Slawin of Appoline Ave. are spending
the week in New York.
Mrs Batia Kornblitt of Haifa Israel is here for an extended
visit with her brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Blaize of Leslie Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Blaize of La Salle
Blvd.

At a ceremony Nov. 20 at the
Bnai David, Annette Doris Sklax,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Sklar, became the bride of Wil-
liam I. Liberson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel Liberson. Rabbi
Joshua Sperka officiated.
The bride chose a gown of
light ivory satin with a basque
waist, a full train, and a Queen
Anne collar trimmed with seed
pearl embroidery. Her fingertip
veil of illusion was held in place
by a cap embroidered to match
her gown.
Mrs. ILouis Barden attended
the bride as matron-of-honor.
Zelda Gordon, Mrs. Jack Green,
Ideane Levenson, and Edverna
Salter were bridesmaids.
Louis .Barden was best man.
Irving Alpert, Robert Goldman,
Sherell Gordon and Leo Sklar
were ushers.

Progress toward the $50,000
goal set by the Detroit Business-
men's Group of the City of
Hope (formerly Los AngeleS
Sanitorium) to further its pro-
gram for the healing of tuber-
culosis, is gaining momentum.
Weekly meetings will continue
during the en t i r e campaign,
which will be culminated Dec.
31.
The City of Hope has been
selected as one of 50 hospitals
throughout the United States to
participate in a training pro-
gram, under the supervision of
the Am e r i c an Occupational
Therapy Association, to revise
and improve professional train-
ing of therapists.
Ben Goldberg, WO. 3-3604, is
secretary of the group and
chairman of the drive.

Music Study Club Gives .
Program at Percy Jones

Music Study Club, through its
philanthropic group will spon-
sor a program at Percy Jones
Hospital in Battle Creek,_ Satur-
day, Dec. 3.
