The bride chose a gown of light ivory satin with a basque waist, a full train, and a Queen Anne collar trimmed with seed pearl embroidery. Her fingertip veil of illusion was held in place by a cap embroidered to match her gown. Mrs. ILouis Barden attended the bride as matron-of-honor. Progress toward the $50,000 goal set by the Detroit Business- men's Group of the City of Hope (formerly Los AngeleS Sanitorium) to further its pro- gram for the healing of tuber- culosis, is gaining momentum. Weekly meetings will continue during the en t i r e campaign, which will be culminated Dec. 31. The City of Hope has been selected as one of 50 hospitals throughout the United States to participate in a training pro- gram, under the supervision of the Am e r i c an Occupational Therapy Association, to revise and improve professional train- ing of therapists.
