and the Sholem Aleichem Insti-
tute, a reception in honor of
the distinguished poet and
dramatist H. Leivick will take
place at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18,
at the Workmen's Circle, 11529

The noted poet and author
will be guest speaker. He will
address the audience on the
topic "Major Problems in the
Current World of Literature."
Leivick's 60th jubilee is now

Recently returned frcm an ex-
tended tour of the Jewish State,
Dr. Kingdon will discuss .the
role of the Histadrut in building
a progressive and creative Israel.
Sharing the program with Dr.
Kingdon will be Mascha. Beaya,
soprano interpreter .of Israel
and Yiddish songs, who returned
from Israel where she enter-
tained in concert the pioneers of
the Jewish State.
