Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Shevin and son, William, have re-
turned to their home in Long Island after spending the holidays
with their parents. Dr. Shevin is a resident surgeon at the Gold-
water Memorial Hospital in New York:
Cantor and Mrs. A. A. Rosenfeld of 2263 Glendale, leave for
an extended visit to New York on Oct. 10.
Dr. and Mrs. Ted Winshall and son spent the Rosh Hashanah
weekend in Rochester, N. Y., as guests of Rabbi and Mrs. Israel
Goldin.
Among the guests who attended the Bar Mitzvah of Jerome
Alan Simons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Simons of Leslie Ave.,
were Mrs. Aaron Schuldinger of Los Angeles; Mr. and -Mrs. Louis
Balantzow and daughter, Barbara, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Balant-
zow and son, Robert, of Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sandler
of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Ben Sharon, Miss Edna Sharon and Dr.

Dr. and Mrs. Marvin Schwartz and son of Portland, Ore., are
spending the holidays with their! parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Schwartz of Monica Ave.
Bette Harris entertained at a bridal shower Oct. 12, at her
home, 4021 Cortland, in honor of her brother Arthur's fiancee,
Ferne Radzin of Chicago. The wedding will take place Nov. 13.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Slomovitz • of Stoepel Ave. left Tuesday
by plane for an extended visit in Israel.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Frank of Shrewsbury Rd. have returned
Uom a few weeks in Murray Bay where they were guests at the
Manor Richlieu and a week in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hartman of Shrewsbury Rd. spent a few
days in Cleveland visiting with members of their family.
Mrs. Harry NeWman of Paccadilly Rd. has returned from a few
weeks visit in California.

Last year he was a delegate of
the International Council of
Christians and Jews on a trip
through eleven European coun-
tries including Israel. Movie re-
leases of the latest Israel pic-
tures will be shown.

Bnai David Sisterhood
Plans Sukkot Meeting
Mrs. Sheldon Leach, president
of the Bnai David Sisterhood
announces the next meeting, a
Sukkot celebration, for the eve-
ning of Oct. 10 in the social
hall at 14th and Elmhurst. Mrs.
Joshua S. Sperka will speak on
the holiday's significance.
