Sukkot presents a challenge to this gener-
ation of Jews. While the displaced_ persons
camps are being emptied, -pioneers in• Is
rael's settlements are compelled to live in
booths—reminiscent of the Sukkahs of the
time of the Exodus—because of the housing
shortage. World Jewry, especially the Jews
of America, owe an obligation to the build-
ers of the new civilization in Israel to pro-
vide homes for the settlers and to convert
the Sukkah into a dwelling of permanence.
May Sukkot of 5710 bring about complete
realization of the dream to end
the home-

lessness of Jews and to create . security for -
Zion's builders in adequate.hoMes.
