NEW YORK,. (JTA) — Ruling
that the 'Jewish Consumptives
Relief Society, located in Denver,
was not legally authorized to
solicit funds in New York State,
Supreme Court Justice Bernard
Botein granted a motion by At-
torney General Nathaniel L.
Goldstein to restrain the Society
Iron raising- funds in, New York.
The court noted, that almost
half of the total annual income
of the Society has been collected
in New York State. The injunc-
tion' was sought on the grounds
that patients were not getting
proper care, but Justice Botein
said it was granted solely on
legal grounds and that "the
Court will neither discuss nor
consider the oither charge con-
tained in the moving papers."
Mitchell -S. Fisher, counsel for.
the Society, declared that he. is
satisfied with the fact that Jus-
tice Botein granted the injunc-
ion solely on the ground that
the Society was riot properly au-
thorized to solicit funds in New
York State. "We have already

Washington Moods

Government circles in Washington still strongly favor the
internationalization of Jerusalem despite the opposition of Israel
to severing the city from the Jewish state . . . The American
Zionist Council was making arrangements for a rabbinical dele-
gation to appear before President Truman and seek his support
for Jewish claims on Jerusalem . . HoweVer, the arrangements
were dropped after it was indicated from Washington that Tru-.
man is not inclined to receive any such delegation . . Persons
close to the White House advise , Zionist leaders to abstain from •
raising the Jerusalem issue with :Truman until after the November
election of a New York State member to the U. S. Senate .
Herbert H. Lehman and john Foster Dillies are seeking the Senate
seat, and President Truman is in favor of LehMan .. . In the

vising" the.Israel
