Israel Women Prepare
`Fashions in Festivals'

Temple Israel Sisterhood's vice
presidents were hostesses to
kick-off breakfasts last week, to
open the year's program. Com-
mittee chairmen made their re-
ports at the home of Mesdames
Charles Aller, who is in charge
of youth activities; Sidney Lo-
sen, program; Irving Small,
committees, and David Keywell,
ways and means.
Mrs. William P. Greenberg:
Sisterhood president, urges all
members and friends to attend
the first - meeting, a desert lunch-
eon Oct. 10 at the Art Ilystitute.
"Fashions in Festivals," the pro-
gram for this meeting, 'is being
prepared by members of the Sis-
terhood Drama Group.

Aliyah Film Wins
International Approval

Shalit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Shalit of 980 Whitmore Rd.,
were united in marriage. Dr. B.
Benedict Glazer officiated at the
ceremony, which was followed
by a wedding dinner.
The bride chose a gown of an-
tique ivory silk satin, fashioned
with portrait neckline, long
pointed sleeves and long circular
train. Her three-tiered finger-
tip veil of illusion was caught by
a skullcap of satin trimmed with
the seed pearls and embroidery
that also distinguished her
gown. She carried a cascading
bouquet of French camelias.
Barbara Ann Jay was maid- -
of-honor, with Patricia Jean
Martin, Mrs. Sidney Phillip
Shear, the bridegroom's sister,
and Mrs. Edwin Lewis Lieber-
man, bridesmaids, and Gail
Ruth Zivian, the bride's sister,
junior bridesmaid.
Dr. Shear was his brother-in-
law's best man and the ushers
were Harold Marks, Edwin Lie-
berman,. Jack Perlmutter, Mark
Zivian, David Tabashnik and
Gerald Gordon.
The newlyweds flew to New
York, to sail for An extended
honeymoon in Europe. They will
make their home in Detroit..

—The Youth Aliyah film, "To-
morrow's A Wondeful Day" was
enthusiastically received here
when it was exhibited at the
International Festival of Docu-
mentary Films, arranged in con-
junction with the the Interna-
tional Music Festival. Edinburgh
and Glasgow newspapers were
unanimous in their critical ap-

Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Drapkin
of RiChton Ave. celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary

The Drapkins have resided in
