The administrative board of
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah, meet-
ing last week at the home of
David Goldberg-, chairman, re-
viewed plans for the Yeshiva's
annual fall membership drive.
Members of the administrative
board are • Israel Burnstein,
Abraham 'Caplan, Harry Citrin,
Morris Dorn, Samuel Karabe-
nick, Ira Kaufman, Israel Leven-
son, Morris Mohr, Abe . Nusbaum,
Louis Please, Samuel Rosenberg,

ris Surath, Meyer Terebelo,
George Weiswasser.
Contributions to the memorial
fund of Yeshivath Beth Yehud-
ah were received this week from
Abraham Haber, in memory of
Melvin Haber; Morris Levin, in
memory of Abraham and Sarah
Spiegelman; the Srager family,
in memory of Ida Yawe.

CLASS AT FARM SETTLEMENT

Rabbis Isaac Mendelovitz and
H. L. Schick, of the faculty of
the Yeshiva Farm Settlement
for Orphans, located near Mt.
Kisco, N. Y., are in Detroit for
two weeks to solicit funds
'-through the local synagogues,
for the support of the institu-
tion.
Endorsed by Rabbis and not-
able Jewish leaders throughout'
the country, the • YeshiVa • is
resumption . and reincarnation
of the Nazi-destroyed Yeshiva. of
Nitro., Czechoslovakia.
Its seventy-five students, led
by Rabbi Michael Weissinandl,
a graduate of the original Nitra
Yeshiva, came to Settle in _the
United States in 1946, through
the efforts of former graduates,
then in this country.
Orthodox Jewish religious
groups and philanthropists
worked together, and finally se-
cured an extensive Westchester.
County mansion as the home of
their Yeshiva, and they have
gone about the task of building
a living Orthodox Judaism, the
goal in their search for restora-
tion from the concentration-
camp cruelties nearly all of
them suffered. -

Outing Arrangements

All plans have been completed
for the annual Labor Day week-
end, outing of the Sholom Ale.i-
chem Institute, at Camp Mehia.
Evening programs,. featuring
the Cleveland Drama Studio,
have been arranged. Dancing,
boating, fishing and swimming
also will be part of each day's
activities.

JERUSALEM (JTA)—The first
British Overseas Airways Corpo-
ration plane to land in Israel
arrived at Lydda airport with -a
number of pilots who will fa-
miliarize themselves with flight
facilities in the Jewish state
preparatory to inaugurating a
regular weekly air service from
Britain.

Folk Schools Open
Fall Registration

Registration is now underway
for the fall semester of the Jew-
ish Folk Schools of the Labor
Zionist Organization, which in-
. elude day-nursery and kinder-
garten for pre-school children
and after-school classes for older
children.
Curriculum includes Hebrew,
Yiddish, Bible, Jewish history,
Jewish customs and traditions
and Jewish holidays. The school
year emphasizes Jewish festival
celebrations.
Classes are conducted at. the
Labor Zionist Institute, 13722
Linwood. Registration may be
arranged at the school office or
by calling TO. 8 - 9280, 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. weekdays.
