Parents Reveal Troth

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way have
returned from a six-week visit in Europe.
Dr. and Mrs. Harry August, their daughter, „Mary, and son,
Jimmy, of Huntington Woods left Wednesday by motor for the
Canadian Soo.
Mrs. Oscar Blumberg of Glynn Ct. and her son and daughter-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Blumberg, left Saturday for
a stay in Charlevoix.
Mrs. Elliott Moyer and her son, Jimmy, have returned to
their home in Washington, D. C., following a month's visit with
members of their family.
Mrs. Samuel M. Levin and her daughter, Judith, of Broad-
street Blvd. have been visiting in Chicago and Madison, Wis.,
with members of their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Crohn and daughter, Leah, of Wilde-
mere Ave. have returned from a tour of the New England States.
Their son, Harris, who was a counsellor at a camp in Maryland,
returned with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Klein of Cleveland and their grand-
daughters, Susan and Steffi Gerbi of New York, are the guests
this week' of Mr. Klein's brother, Aaron Klein of Boston Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Grosberg have returned to their home
in Glencoe, Ill., following a few days' visit with Mr. and Mrs.
Leon G. Winkelman of Fairfield Ave.
Miss Edith Heavenrich and her sister, Mrs. Alfred Rothchild
of Virginia Pk., have returned from a stay in Charlevoix.
Dr. and Mrs. N. H. Schlafer and their daughter, Vicki, of
Wildemere Ave., have returned from a month's tour of the New
England States.
Mrs. Sidney Winer, her daughter, Susan, and son, Harry, of
Calvert Ave. have returned from a visit in Northern Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Schiller, their daughter, Ellen, and
sons, Ricky and Larry, have returned to their home in Tulsa,
Okla., following an extended visit with their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Leon Schembeck of Monte Vista Ave. and Mrs. Albert Schiller.
The Misses Helen, Anne and Lena Solomon have moved from
Atkinson Ave. and are now residing at 1432 Glynn Ct.
Mr. and Mrs. John L. Brown and their daughter, Barbara,
of Strathcona Dr. left Thursday for New York, from where they
will sail for Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gross of Evansville, Ind., .have been
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Aronsson of Chicago
Blvd.
Dr. and Mrs. Bernard Bernbauin of the Wilshire are vaca-
tioning in Charlevoix.
Dr. and Mrs. Moe Perlis and their daughter, Corinne, of
Glynn Ct. left last Sunday for Woodmere, L. I., to be the guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goldberger. The marriage of their son,
Sanford, and the Goldbergers' daughter, Vivian, will take place
this Sunday, Aug. 28, at the bride's home, 76 Wood Lane, Wood-
mere, L. I.
Mr. and Mrs. Jame$ Marks of Woodingham Ave. have returned
from a visit in Oscoda.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sack$ of Dexter Blvd. left on Sunday
for a fortnight in New Yoik.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Dworman of Chicago Blvd., have returned
from a stay in Charlevoix.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Keene and their sons, Irving and James,
have moved from Atkinson Ave. and are now residing at 3434
Cambridge Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Golub have returned to Indianapolis
following a visit with her mother, Mrs. Emil Baron of Hazelwood
Ave.
The Misses Bertha and Rose Lipsitz of Rochester Ave. have
returned from a tour of the New England. States.
Miss Frieda Rosenthal of the Seward Hotel has returned
from a few weeks in Nantucket, Mass.
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller and their daughter, Cynthia, of
Chicago, are spending a fortnight with their parents, Mr. and

JNF Officer Relates
Need for Added Funds

NEW YORK—The Keren Kay-
emeth in Israel, of which the
Jewish National Fund in this
country is the counterpart, is
carrying on most important
functions both in the field of
land acquisition as well as in
the field of colonization in co-
operation with the Keren Haye-
sod, declared Dr. Harris J. Le-
vine, chairman of the adminis-
trative committee of the JNF of
America, when he returned from
several weeks in Israel. He urged
American Jewry . to increase its
rticipation in the work for the
upbuilding of Israel.

Hashomer Establishes
60th Kibbuiz in Negev

TEL AVIV—(JTA)-c—The 60th
Hashomer Hatzair collective set-
tlement named "Magen" (De-
fense), was established in the
Negev between Gevulot and
Nirim, in a sector not far from
the Egyptian border on land re-
conquered from Egyptian Army
units last year.
The majority of the 91 settlers
are Romanian Jews who, after
reching the shores of Palestine
aboard the S. S. Atzmaut, were
Lafayette presented the - key
dispatched to Cyprus detention
camps by the British. They later to the French Bastille to George
proceeded to Israel via the Cy- Washington and it may now be
seen at Mt. Vernon.
